Field Trip to the Anti-Cruelty Society
Part of the Life Skills curriculum focuses on career exploration and helping students to discover how their abilities, skills, and interests are important in choosing a vocation. As part of a field trip, the 6th and 7th grade students attended an Animal Related Careers presentation at the Anti-Cruelty Society on May 26th and 27th.
Art Chicago Fair
Mr. Piercy and his Art 2 Class went to the annual Art Chicago Fair in Merchandise Mart. The annual international fair of contemporary and modern art, brings together the world’s leading emerging and established galleries.
Paris-London Trip
The students who will participate in the Paris-London trip will depart on June 29th and come back on July 7th. If you have any questions, please see Mr.Stevens.
International House of Blues Field Trip
Thursday, February 11, CMSA High School Band students attended the International House of Blues Foundation (IHOBF) program.
Field trip to Art Institute of Chicago
We visited the Art Institute of Chicago and each student chose a piece of art and wrote an art critique to practice their English writing skills.
7th Grade Field Trip
The CMSA 7th grade students went to the Field Museum on Wednesday, November 11, 2009. They examined and learned about ancient Native American artifacts.
Field Trip to MSI
The CMSA juniors and seniors had a field trip to the Museum of Science and Industry on October 23, 2009. The Museum of Science and Industry is the second largest cultural attraction in Chicago.
Field trip to Dirksen Federal Building
On May 15th, 2009, Friday, CMSA juniors were able to tour a federal court room from the judges seat, the jury box, and the prisoner’s cell.

CMSA is glad to offer opportunities for students to increase knowledge and experience. This is a two day Canada trip to see the Niagara Falls and Toronto.
